AEROPLANE KEY RING:
"Tarrafal Bay" was the beautiful name of this Boeing B757-200.
A bay in the Cape Verde Islands.
And this is where one of the most impressive aircraft labels comes from. This edition is handmade from a B757 operated by Cape Verde Airlines. Each aircraft of this small airline has its own livery. These colours are inspired by the characteristic colours of the island's capital, Santiago.
It was handed over to Icelandair in 1990. From 2010, it flew under the name of
Eyjafjallajökull. This was the volcano whose eruption caused the closure of most of Europe's airspace.
From 2017, this aircraft was leased by Cabo Verde Airlines and operated until it was decommissioned in 2022.
